This is a pretty appetizer that really just takes assembling.

Works best when fresh figs are in season.

You will need:

Fresh figs

6 oz goat cheese at room temp

1 oz sour cream or milk to thin out the goat cheese

fresh thyme sprigs

crackers

Fig and Ginger Jam or other jam you like (Try Stonewall Kitchens brand)

In a small bowl mix the goat cheese and sour cream or milk.  Place in pastry bag fitted with star tip. (or just use a spoon.)

Put small amount of jam on a cracker.  Then spoon or pipe small circle of cheese on top of jam.  Cut figs into small attractive bite size pieces which show off its seeds and color.  Place one or two of these pieces on top of the cheese.   Sprinkle with thyme leaves.

Enjoy!
